Still Life in Gold

A few years back I took an art course and one assignment required me to do a still life in black and white with shades of grey acrylic paint. While doing this blog, I remembered the painting, scanned it and change it into a golden/copper coloured image through the BeFunky application.

I also scanned the original painting – black and white with shades of grey that represents this still life image.

The Magic Leaf

Autumn is coming! While walking in my garden today, I picked up an autumn leaf, put it on a piece of white paper and scanned it. It was beautiful as it is, but I thought I’ll make it look like a magic leaf. I’m happy with the end result and want to experiment more with it – but here it is, my magic leaf.

Fanna and Esther

Beautiful people Digital art

Fanna and Esther are their names – a creative attempt of a paper-maché sculpture by me and my two sons that stands on two wooden blocks, and are transformed into this digital art piece. Fanna and Esther worked for my family many years back in my home country and their existence in our house (the two sculptures) are our precious memory of them – we will never forget them.

Traditional Art

The convenience of taking digital photos of traditional artwork and manipulating it into digital art using  applications such as Photoshop, Snagit Editor and BeFunky opens up a new world of creation for me. It is just amazing what you can do with all these applications. I’m still learning and in the exploring phase, but am very surprised by each and every outcome. If the outcome is not what I wanted or expected it to be, I just delete it.

Beethoven

Beethoven - Digital art

Years back I had a beautiful black and white poster of Beethoven. Unfortunately, I lost it through many home and city relocations, mainly because of job changes. I couldn’t find a replacement of the photo, and therefore the only way I could have another Beethoven on the wall was to sketch one myself and charcoal was the easiest and quickest medium to do so. My choice of colour was green, so black charcoal on green drawing paper become a painting of Beethoven.
